Meet Dr. Enrique Villalobos​

Dr. Villalobos, is a double board-certified and fellowship trained pain medicine specialist. He was born in Mexico and raised from humble beginnings in El Paso Texas.  He completed medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico and Ponce Puerto Rico allowing him to make contact with patient care early in his career.  Additionally providing him understanding of the complex Hispanic culture.  


Background and Training
Dr. Villalobos completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Texas Tech University in El Paso, where he served local residents and Latino immigrants for over ten years. His extensive experience in emergency medicine, particularly with a high volume of chronic pain patients, ignited his interest in pain management.
To enhance his expertise, Dr. Villalobos pursued a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Stanford University, an institution renowned for its advancements in chronic pain treatment. During his fellowship, he engaged in cutting-edge clinical practices, including peripheral nerve stimulation, ketamine infusion, and the management of complex pain cases from patients worldwide.
Current Practice and Philosophy
Dr. Villalobos is dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care. His dual background in emergency and pain medicine enables him to address both acute and chronic pain comprehensively. Recognizing the need for effective communication within the Hispanic community, he has chosen to continue practicing in the border region to meet the demand for Spanish-speaking healthcare professionals.
